DHUFC Mini-Soccer Festival

I can now confirm the DHUFC Mini-Soccer Festival is booked and scheduled to take place at Bowood Sports Ground on Saturday 29th April. As mentioned in earlier communication, this year's event will only accommodate those groups aged 10 or younger.

Schedule
  • 9:45 - 11:45: Under 9s and Under 10s
  • 12:30 - 2:30: Under 8s
  • 3:15 - 5:15: Under 7s and Under 10 Girls
Our event is one of the first of the season and differs greatly from others that follow. Our event is focused on fun, participation and development for all players, with no match results being recorded. As we have no league structure, each game stands in it's own right and can be adapted in length or number of players to address the time available and/or the strength of the opposition.

Please help us to promote the correct behaviour for our young players by offering your support to all those that participate.

For A Good Cause
This year we are supporting the charity CLIC Sargent. 75% of any profit we make will be given to this organization, who do excellent work caring for children with Cancer and Leukemia. We are looking to encourage everyone to purchase a programme on the gate and also run a few special events to make additional cash for this very worthwhile cause.

Please take a look at our donation website and I ask that you consider making a donation toward this important charity.

Lend A Hand
The running of our festival, as you can imagine, takes lots of organizing and requires the assistance of many adults on the day to make things run smoothly. Please consider volunteering - contact me on festivalhelp@dhufc.org

A Chance To Advertise
Finally, the event offers an opportunity for local businesses to sponsor a group or indeed the whole event. If you know of anyone who is looking for an opportunity to promote their business to a large audience of local people then get in touch, we have packages to suit all contributions.

DHUFC Members: Facilities Closed

That's the end of our Winter session, DHUFC is now closed for the Easter break.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their activity this session and returns fresh and ready to start training on Saturday 22nd April when we begin our short Spring session.

I am aware some squads have a session arranged for next weekend, please keep in close touch with your Team Secretary to find out what your group is doing. Also a reminder that Bowood Sports Ground is a private facility and is not accessible to Club members unless part of an official DHUFC Coach led training session.

Wishing everyone a happy and relaxing Easter break.
Alan
