Bowood Sports Ground Improvement Plans

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended this week's public presentation of our improvement plans for Bowood Sports Ground.

We were delighted with the attendance and each of the project's working party were pleased to hear of your overwhelming support and approval of our proposals.

Our plans will shortly be submitted to the council for planning approval, once this is done the hard work to raise the funds will commence.

If any of you should know of someone who can help with the following items I would be interested in hearing from you;

1. A solicitor with experience of lease work
2. Businesses who may be interested in making a financial contribution to support our efforts
3. Access to fencing materials and farm style gates

End of Season Presentation Pictures

The photographs of the End Of Season Presentation are now available. I have posted some samples on the Club Picture Gallery. Remember the Club has a 6"x4" print of your child available for collection when we return to training. Those who want to purchase further copies or larger versions please order on-line via the TN Photography website.

Finally I hope you all have a great summer and I look forward to seeing you when DHUFC commences its 08-09 activity on Saturday 30th August.

Following our presentation we have now reached the end of season 2007-08.

I hope those of you who attended the event last Saturday had a great time. Once again the weather stayed fine and allowed us to make the most of the ground. Thank you for allowing our guest of honour to enjoy the evening's activities with his family, I sense Stuart enjoyed the opportunity.

1. Ground Closure
As of Saturday 19th July Bowood Sports Ground is closed to all activity. Please do not use the ground after this time as the Club cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries caused whilst unsupervised.


2. Facilities Development at BSG
Some of you may have heard the Club has now started its plans to improve the facilities at Bowood Sports Ground. There is much to do, but a small working party has helped to shape our plans for a Clubhouse and changing facility.

These plans will be on public view for the first time on Tuesday 22nd July when we shall be convening a short presentation and review. The meeting takes place at the Lansdowne Hall, Derry Hill between 6.45pm and 7.30pm. Drop by and see what we have planned.


3. Mid-Wilts League Registration
For those of you who have yet to return your completed League Registration forms then you have a final chance to do so before we process and submit them 10th July. Any forms received after this date will be processed when we resume activity for Season 2008-09 at the end of August. This will most likely mean that your child will not qualify to play League matches for the first few fixtures of the season.
