Winter Training And Pitch Status
Winter Training Clothing
With the appearance of the colder weather this is a timely opportunity to remind all parents that it is your responsibility to send your child to football in appropriate clothing. Please ensure you send your child to football clothed appropriately for the conditions. Coaches have been asked to contact parents to collect children who they feel are inappropriately dressed.
Pitch Hotline
(0845 5272 886)
This message is updated each Friday evening providing the latest information on the status of the ground. In times of surprise, extreme conditions, we will update the message more frequently. The same message can be found on our Club Facebook account or Twitter. Think about following or liking us today and get the latest Club messages and pitch status delivered directly to your smart-phone or desktop.
The hotline provides a status for the ground not the status for your squad. There may be times when the ground is open but your team coach considers the conditions inappropriate for the age of the children within their squad. You will be contacted by your team secretary and coaches if your session has been cancelled but the ground is open.
Under 7s Session
Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word about our Under 7s session this past weekend. The message got out there and we had six enthusiastic youngsters turn-up to participate in a very enjoyable session. We have since had a further two enquiries so the message about our activity is getting out. It would be great to increase the numbers even further.
Can I ask that you keep talking and posting about the opportunity for School Year 2 children as we have a further taster session planned for Saturday week, the 4th December. Pass this message to all those places you posted before; friends, families, colleagues, schools, supermarkets and libraries. If you would like some posters or leaflets please get in touch with me and I will supply them.
Under 7s @ Derry Hill United
Saturday 4th December
The session runs from 11am - 12pm at Bowood Sports Ground, Studley (next to the Soho Pub on the A4). In order for the session to start on time ensure you arrive by 10.50am. On arrival look for the registration desk by the Clubhouse where you will need to register and receive information about the Club.
Your child will need suitable clothing to run around and take part, shin pads, covered by long socks, football boots if they have them, or if not trainers. We do operate a second hand football boot scheme for any one interested.
Please also ensure your child brings a drink to the session and suitable clothes to keep them warm and dry.
We need your support to help your child settle in to this new environment and ask that you remain at the ground for this session.
