Liam's Swede dream

ENGLAND mascot Liam Brock had the time of his life at the World Cup 2006 in Germany and to top it all he walked out with one of his Liverpool heroes, Jamie Carragher.

The ten-year-old Derry Hill School pupil couldn't contain his excitement after three days of VIP treatment before escorting the England team on to the pitch before their match against Sweden.

He also appeared on the BBC Breakfast show on Tuesday with Sir Geoff Hurst, where he performed Peter Crouch's infamous Robot Dance.

Proud mum Sarah, who drew the short straw and had to stay at home in Springfield Drive, Calne, said: "Liam's become a bit of a local celebrity.

"Everybody's just gone crazy for him and said it couldn't have happened to a nicer boy."

Liam travelled to Cologne with dad Martin after winning a McDonald's competition.

Mrs Brock said: "He is a fanatical Liverpool fan so he was thrilled to walk out with Jamie Carragher.

"He's absolutely exhausted but it was an opportunity of a lifetime."
