Flames v Trowbridge Wanderers
Flames 7 Trowbridge Wanderers 1 (HT Flames 4 Trowbridge Wanderers 1)
Man Of Match: Ryan G
A good win for the Flames providing two positives; the first time we have beaten Trowbridge after three previous draws, secondly for the first time for several games we didn't allow our opposition to score in one of the halves.
Not our best performance by any means, we played well in patches and had sustained pressure for good periods of the match. However our defending and midfield failed to recover as well as I know we can. Overall a pleasing result, some good individual performances, but a need to concentrate and perform for the whole of the 60 minutes.
Adam V
With little to do, did well to stay focused to make some timely saves. Good hands, got across and down to several shots. Great kicking from hands.
Ryan G
A strong match working in the heart defence. Good communication with his defence, well directed to mark players, and compress play. Topped off an excellent performance with some decisive block tackling.
Ali E
Another strong game from Ali. Got forward well in the first half and made some great recovery runs when caught forward. Created our best team goal finished by Luke G, with a well placed cross.
Josh W
Lots of effort driving forward from midfield. A well earned hat-trick.
Jason T
Lots of runs from the front of the team, always working to make himself available. Put defense under pressure with some good chasing down. Rewarded with a brace.
Sam C
First appearance up front. Shielded ball well, offering the midfieldboth time and space to move into attacking positions. Can claim assists for three of the goals and was unlucky not to score from one of the two shots that hit uprights.
